What happened
On July 10th, Baby's On Fire announced on their social media that they would be shutting down in just 9 days. This abrupt closure comes as a response to their workers filing a petition with the NLRB for a union election, after weeks of the owners refusing to answer the union's request at voluntary recognition.
What we can do
We must act immediately to put pressure on the owners to respond to community demand for answers. It is deeply disappointing and malicious to shut down the store so abruptly instead of doing right by their workers. We stand with the workers of Baby's On Fire and demand their owners remedy their mistakes NOW.
The workers have been trying to open a conversation with the owners for months. Instead of engaging in dialogue with them, they abruptly shut down the store. All their workers are asking for is to give them the respect to at least have a conversation! And it's not just the workers that want to talk. Our whole community deserves answers!
Help us pressure them into having an open conversation with us!
